Flight Ticket Alert is a Chrome extension that finds cheap last-minute flights. It needs very little about you, and this page says exactly what it keeps, why, and how to get rid of it.
The short version. We store the airports you picked, your alert settings, and — only if you ask for email or text alerts — the address or number you typed. We do not track your browsing, we do not have accounts, and we do not sell anything to anyone.
What the extension stores on your device
Your airports, filters, saved alerts and a cached list of fares live in Chrome's own extension storage. If you are signed into Chrome, Chrome may sync the settings between your computers; that sync is Google's, not ours. Removing the extension removes all of it.
What reaches our server
| Install identifier | A random identifier created when you install the extension. It is not linked to your name, email or Google account, and exists so that fair-use limits on alerts can be applied per installation. |
|---|---|
| Saved alerts | Only when you save one: the airports, price ceiling and filters you chose. These are stored so alerts keep working when your browser is closed. |
| Email address | Only if you switch on email alerts. Used to send you those alerts and nothing else. |
| Phone number | Only if you switch on text alerts. Used to send you those alerts and nothing else. |
| Fare requests | Requests for prices pass through our server so that our data provider's key is not exposed in the extension. We do not build a profile from them. |
What we never collect
- Your browsing history, open tabs or the pages you visit. The extension has no access to them; it does not read web pages.
- Your name, address, date of birth or payment details. We never handle payments — booking happens on the airline or travel agency site.
- Location data beyond the airports you typed in yourself.
Who else is involved
- Travelpayouts supplies the fare data. Price requests reach them through our server.
- Cloudflare hosts our server and stores saved alerts.
- Resend delivers email alerts, and receives your address in order to do so.
- Twilio delivers text alerts, and receives your number in order to do so.
- When you open a fare, you go to the airline or travel agency site, which has its own privacy policy. The link carries an affiliate identifier, so we may earn a commission on a booking at no extra cost to you.
How long it is kept
Saved alerts and their contact details are kept until you delete the alert or uninstall the extension. Records of which fares you have already been alerted about expire automatically after 14 days, and usage counters after about a month. Nothing is archived once deleted.
Deleting your data
Delete a saved alert in the extension and its contact details go with it. Uninstalling the extension removes everything stored on your device. To have anything held on our server erased, email privacy@flightticketalert.com — include the email address or phone number you used, and it will be removed within 30 days.
Your rights
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to its use. Write to the address above. You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
Children
This extension is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect, we will update the date at the top and note the change in the extension's listing.
